Mud At The Beach? – Beach Fun Photo Challenge

I have sooooo many beach photos that I could have entered into this week’s I ♥ Faces, Beach Fun Challenge.  My original thought was a photo I took of our friend’s teen daughter last year. But, although it’s a beautiful photo, it’s very posed and didn’t represent fun to me. Plus, I remembered I had entered it previously in a challenge. 

So, I went through a few of my files and this one is the one that choose.  My reason? The way it made me feel. Silly reasoning maybe, but this was a fun trip and I look at this photo and can’t believe how much these boys (the one in the front is mine) have grown.  In the four years since it was taken, they have gone from boys to men.  How time flies!

On this beach, when you are facing the ocean, the area behind you is marshy and in it are crabs! The boys (and the girl in the post I talked about earlier) thought it was great fun to catch them! They actually got quite a few and I think we had them for dinner a few nights later.  And, the mud came off easily with just a dip into the ocean.
